Meet Dr. Scott W. Murphy, DMD
Dr. Scott W. Murphy was born and raised in Towaco, New Jersey. Dr. Murphy had braces as a child and was fascinated by the science behind dentistry and orthodontics. He decided that he wanted to help others with their smile, too, which led him to his career in Dentistry.
Dr. Murphy has been married to his wife Linda for 42 years. They have three children and two grandchildren. His hobbies include racquetball and all different types of water sports. He has white water rafted all up the east coast. Soccer has always been a big part of his life. He coached soccer for 20+ years, including coaching all three of his children.
Professional Bio:
Dr. Murphy has practiced dentistry for over 40 years. He earned his B.S. degree in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1978; he then earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from UMDNJ in Newark, New Jersey (University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) in 1982. After graduating, he completed 3 points of residency in Texas at the University of Texas San Antonio, Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans’ Hospital, and Lackland AFB.
Dr. Murphy is an active member of the American Dental Association. He thoroughly examines his patient’s needs and keeps their best interest in mind to provide high-quality dental care.
